One of the great things about water features is that they play with the lighting and cause it to refract and shimmer around the room – almost as though you were underwater. This is particularly great if you turn off the lights and if your water features have lighting of their own and can create a very aquatic and peaceful feel in the room. Unfortunately this just won`t work if the glass is dirty and murky and it will instead just look like a slightly off-colour looking box in the corner of your room that doesn`t really impact the lighting. This is something you may well not be able to do that well yourself as you will find that the water features have many small crevices and nooks that it`s very hard to get into.
