How to Clean your Aquarium Part Two

Next it is important to scrub the walls of your tank to ensure that any algae growing on the sides is removed. This can be done with a sponge with a rough side. Be thorough as you wipe down the walls, making sure not to miss anywhere. At this point, it is important to wipe down the heater and any tubes in the aquarium. If you have any decorations in your aquarium, such as sculptures, it is also important to give these a clean as well. This can be done simply by removing them from the tank, and scrubbing them with a stiff brush, available in most aquarium stockists. When you have finished this, simply pop the sculptures back into the tank in their original location. You are now almost finished cleaning. Remember to add back in the water that you removed when vacuuming. Replace your filter too, and then put the lid back onto the aquarium. The cleaning process can initially take some time to become used to, and certainly there is a lot to do and a lot to think about. However, as time progresses and you become more used to the process, it can take anything up to half an hour to do a good clean.
