Aquariums have many benefits for both individuals and businesses and can add a lot to a room for either. Whether they’re intended for a waiting room or reception lobby as something to look at and to create a sense of success and class, or for a bedroom to help create a scenic and restful atmosphere. Aquariums will first and foremost do a lot of good for the décor of a room. This works for many reasons. Firstly they provide a central attraction (if you have a fish tank then you should make it the main ‘feature’ of that room, not have it competing for attention with a series of other large statement pieces). Secondly their lighting will interact with the room in great and subtle ways. As the light will refract from the water it will cause the shadows to ‘dance’ in the room which can be a very attractive look during the evening (creating a similar affect to that of candles) and will also increase and multiply the amount of light in the room which will make the room appear larger and cleaner during the day.
