Designing an `Aquatic Themed` Bedroom Part Two

This means lots of blues and turquoise colours – though you want to keep the colours deep and fairly subtle to avoid a kitsch seaside effect. These dark blues will then be accentuated and highlighted by the light as it reflects from your water features which of course must feature heavily in any aquatic themed room. Once you`ve come up with the main look for your room then, consider which water features you want to include. One great idea is to turn an entire wall into a wall of water and if you place this behind your bed it can create a great feeling as though you`re sleeping behind a waterfall – you can even place an indoor water fall right behind or next to your bed to make it feel as though you`re sleeping somewhere in a cave behind a great waterfall. If you`re worried about water falls getting your bed or room wet however, then another idea is to use bubble walls. Bubble walls are similar to water falls in appearance but are contained within a glass wall and use air bubbles travelling upwards to create the impression of movement as opposed to water falling downwards.
